Volunteers

Volunteers are always needed and appreciated specially in the spring and summer time.

We currently are looking for :-

•People to pick up and transport animals from vets, shelters or the general public. Requirements are basic drivers licence, car, melways or GPS, phone, no fear of animals though the animal is usually contained, and training will be provided. with this position cost will occur such as phone and petrol.


•Volunteers to work at our shelter and others.

Sarah Jones

Sarah Jones

Sarah has an amazing love for animals, she has studied Zoology and currently works at a dog and cat boarding kennels in Berwick.

Sarah volunteers on a Monday and Wednesday afternoon. Sarah's management of animals is achieved effortlessly. And the animals simply adore her. Sarah's goal is to become a vet.

 
Mhairi Roberts

Mhairi Roberts

Mhairi's interest in animal behavior led her to do a course at uni in Zoology and reproduction, her dream is to study orcas (killer whales) from a research vessel.

Mhairi works part time at Myer and also volunteers at the RSPCA on Wednesday mornings and even contributes her marvelous skills with our animals on Wednesday afternoons.

 
Kate Stephenson

Kate Stephenson

Kate's love for animals has her wanting to be surrounded by them, she has done a course in nursing and management of wildlife, and a certificate 3 in animal technology.

Kate works in the fruit and vegetable business and every Wednesday she provides fresh produce for the animals. Kate also works diligently in maintaining the enclosures and is committed to professionally caring for the animals every single week.

 
Max Healey

Max Healy

Max is a 15 year old inspired young Australian. He joined AAR via the Bronze Duke Of Edinburgh's Award. His contribution to AAR is highly recognized and has been appreciated, especially by Ruby the pig, Oscar the cocky and Honey the bunny.

 
Kara Wilson

Kara Wilson

12 year old Kara and her Mum Katherine volunteer their time every Sunday, Kara is an absolute devoted animal lover. She attends Lauriston Girls School, and also is a very talented entertainer attending musical theatre of performing arts.

When Kara finishes school she would like to study to become a vet.

 

 
Sarah Drain

Sarah Drain

Mother to Ava, Sarah currently works part time at Greencross Vet Clinic as an assistant and volunteers with us on a Friday. Sarah works out at the gym daily and is full of energy, moving wheel burrows of mulch for the chook pen is nothing to Sarah and the animals just adore her and so do we
